Coláiste Naomh Cormac is proud to have a variety of clubs available to students interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths.
Robotics is a STEM programme that is developed in are school as a lunchtime Tech club and as a module for Transition Year Students.
Educational Aims
- To develop student interest and expertise in the area of Applied Control through building autonomous Mini Sumo Robots and subsequently competing them against each other in both school based and national Mini Sumo Robot Tournaments.

Podcasting is a STE(A)M programme that is developed in are school as a lunchtime club led by the students. The podcasting club is made up of students from all year groups who meet on Thursday afternoons to plan and produce the school’s monthly podcast. The podcast provides an overview of the school activities and events each month. You can listen to our podcast here.
Minecraft is a STEM programme that is developed in are school as a lunchtimeclub. As part of the LOETB STEAM initiative the club takes place every Tuesday. Minecraft education, available to students as part of their Microsoft 365 license, prepares students for the future workplace by helping build skills of collaboration, creative problem solving, communication and systems thinking. Students are also offered the opportunity to learn coding with a built-in coding tool available on the gaming platform. Junior students are taking part in the LOETB & Microsoft Dreamscape competition, while Senior students are working on developing a “world” for 1st year students to explore.
Lego Club is a STE(A)M programme that has been established in our school as part of our lunchtime clubs initiative. This club brings students together from all year groups every Friday lunchtime, engaging them in the exciting world of LEGO and the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge.
