The position of Cairde is one of responsibility and leadership and is assigned to a group of Transition Year students who work closely with, and support our 1st year students in the school. Becoming a Cairde forms a valuable part of a pupil’s personal development, opening their mind to new levels of responsibility and participation in a very positive way. Cairde are a tremendous help to the school and play a particularly important role in mentoring younger pupils especially our 1st Year students. The primary role of Cairde is to ease the transition from primary to secondary school for all 1st year students.
