Welcome to the Coláiste Naomh Cormac Debating Club. 

Our club is a dynamic platform for students who are passionate about expressing their opinions, refining their communication abilities, and mastering the art of persuasive argumentation.

Debating and public speaking reap lifelong benefits. It cultivates critical thinking, effective communication and builds confidence. 

Debating is an important part of school life here at Coláiste Naomh Cormac; gear up for weekly meetings filled with spirited debates. Our club sessions are designed to foster a supportive environment that encourages intellectual growth and the development of articulate speakers.

Our school has a Junior and Senior debating team, where students explore a wide range of stimulating topics that challenge your critical thinking and broaden your perspectives. From current events and social issues to philosophical dilemmas, our Debating Club covers it all. 

Senior Cycle students take part in the Concern Debates every year which gives students the opportunity to research, explore and debate some of the defining issues of today.
